The Italian Region-IBS is pleased to announce the 13-th biennial scientific meeting that will be virtual this year. The conference will provide an amazing opportunity to discuss the newest statistical methods, to exchange scientific ideas and to promote collaborations among members within our region and with other IBS regions, Italian societies and international initiatives. A special space will be devoted to young statisticians who will enlighten the meeting with their contributions.
The meeting will include:
- Three keynote speaches:

- Two invited sessions organized by Italian Region-IBS members
- Three invited sessions of networking with other IBS regions, other Italian societies or international initiatives:
- Eastern Mediterranean EMR-IBS and Spanish-IBS regions
- Italian Statistical Society (Società Italiana di Statistica, SIS)
- STRengthening Analytical Thinking for Observational Studies (STRATOS) Initiative
- Three contributed sessions dedicated to young researchers (age ≤ 35 years) with a young research competition for the outstanding presentation.
- One poster overview session dedicated to young researchers (age ≤ 35 years).
- One half-day course entiled “Graphical models for categorical data with R“ (maximum 30 partecipant) will be taught by Prof. Monia Lupparelli (Università di Firenze) https://www.unifi.it/p-doc2-2018-0-A-2d2a362f3628-0.html, 22 September 2021 (h 10-12; 14-16; 16.30-17.30).

Abstract submission
The abstract must be written in English, maximum lenght 2500 characters including spaces (without considering the list of authors, affiliations and title, but considering eventual references), word format (file extension .doc or .docx) and it must follow the format in the template.
