The Italian Region of the International Biometric Society (IBS-IR) is pleased to announce the 12th bi-annual scientific meeting devoted to promote collaborations and exchange scientific expertise among all members of IBS regions. Invited sessions are organized by IBS regions (already confirmed regions: Eastern North American Region, Eastern Mediterranean Region, German Region, Spanish Region); to reinforce also historical research fields and collaborations of Italian Region of IBS one invited session is organized on agricultural and environmental statistics and another one by Italian Statistical Society (SIS).
Confirmed invited speakers are:
Claudia Angelini (Istituto per le Applicazioni del Calcolo “Mauro Picone”, CNR, Naples, Italy),
Stefania Galimberti (University of Milano-Bicocca, Milan, Italy),
Niels Keiding (University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark),
Cécile Proust-Lima (Bordeaux University, Bordeaux, France).
For contributed sessions and poster session (two poster awards are supported by IBS Regions), we encourage the submission of short abstracts (see the dedicated section below for technical details). Possible topics (but not limited to) are:
- Longitudinal modelling and mixed-effects models
- Survival analysis
- Sampling methods in biostatistics
- Agricultural and environmental statistics
- Methods for data integration
- Statistical methods in genomics
- Reproducibility
- Risk prediction models
- Graphical models
Two half-day pre-conference courses will be also provided (with limited places) on Sunday from 15:00 to 19:00:

Monday July 8 – Wednesday July 10, 2019
Meeting with plenary invited talks, invited sessions, contributed sessions, poster session (on Tuesday July 9, 2019), IBS-IR General Assembly (on Tuesday July 9, 2019) and social dinner (on Tuesday July 9, 2019).

Conference fees include lunches on Monday and Tuesday and social dinner on Tuesday.
* Pre-conference courses are possible even if you don’t want to attend to the conference, but are reserved to IBS members, hence you need to affiliate to ISB if you are not an IBS member
Cancellation policy
If after registering you are unable to attend the event, no refund will be available. Nevertheless, we allow you to transfer your registration to another colleague (with the same type of registration), by sending an email as soon as possible to meeting2019@ibs-italy.org.
Abstract submission
Abstract must be submitted through the Easy Chair conference system at the link:

The text of the abstract must have a length of maximum 2500 characters included spaces (without considering the list of authors, affiliations and title). Moreover, the abstract must contain at least 3 keywords

The conference will be at Renaissance Naples Hotel Mediterraneo.
The hotel is about 7 km far from Naples Airport and can be easily reached from the Airport with public transportation (Alibus) or Taxi.
The hotel is about 3 km far from Naples Central Station and can be easily reached with the Metro Line 1. The hotel is located between the stops of Toledo and Municipio of the Napoli Metro Line.
